Late 3 times=1 absence

SICK: If you are sick and can not come to class you will receive 1 absent unless you bring a doctor's note the next class.

HOMEWORK: Homework will be checked every class. You will receive 1 mark for each homework assignment that you complete. Any student caught copying another student's homework will lose 1 mark. If you lend your homework to another student, you will lose 1 mark. If you were absent from a class, you still must complete all homework. Homework assignments are listed here.


TEXTBOOK AND WORKBOOK: Each student must have their own textbook and workbook for each class. COPIED BOOKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Do not buy copied books because you cannot use them. Buy new books from the bookstore only. You will lose 1 mark if you do not bring your textbook and workbook to class.


DICTIONARY:If you have an electronic dictionary or a regular book dictionary, you will receive 2 bonus marks.


PARTICIPATION: Each student can receive up to 10 marks for class participation. These are called BONUS marks and will be given out during every class. You get BONUS marks by answering questions and volunteering to read. BONUS marks are very important for your final mark.


CLASS BEHAVIOR: You are expected to behave in a proper manner during class. ALL CELL PHONES MUST BE TURNED OFF DURING CLASS. Excessive talking, use of cell phones, sleeping or speaking in Korean are not allowed during class. You will lose 1 mark if you do any of these and may be asked to leave the class. IF you are asked to leave the class, you will be marked absent for that class.
